At S.S. Seward Institute, art education is very important. There are a variety of courses available where students learn about the different forms, dimensions, and media of visual arts. While these classes focus on the aspect of individual creativity, they also teach about the practicality, techniques, and application of art towards future employment.
The mathematics program at S.S. Seward Institute strives to help students find courses that fit their individual rates of learning. Through this method, students achieve a better understanding and appreciation of math. The highest level course offering in the mathematics program is Advanced Placement (AP) Calculus, which gives students the opportunity to earn college credit.
With the Spartan as their mascot and school colors of blue and orange, S.S. Seward Institute has several sports available for students to become involved in. In the fall, students have the options of cross country, girls’ soccer, and boys’ soccer. Girls’ basketball, boys’ basketball, and cheerleading are the winter sports. When spring arrives, students can choose from boys’ baseball or girls’ softball.
